Qwinto
Published
by the same German manufacturer Nürnberger-Spielkarten-Verlag, Qwinto is often
marketed as the sequel of Qwixx. Qwixx and Qwinto are like siblings and they
always come together. But when they reached the states, they were “adopted by
different parents”. Qwixx is under Gamewright, one of the biggest game
manufacturers in US. Qwinto is under Pandasaurus, a relatively smaller
publisher. Box sizes of both games are also different.
Like
Qwixx, Qwinto is a simple roll-and-write dice rolling game. But the components
inside are even simpler than those of Qwixx. Instead of 6, Qwinto only got 3 dice,
1 in orange, 1 in yellow and 1 in purple. They are all standard d6 dice. It
also comes with 80 pieces of score sheets, instructions and 4 pencils. I have
no problem of finding pencils at home. But if you don’t have any kids, it is
sometimes difficult to find a pencil. Pandasaurus is so caring.
Game
play is also easy. Just like Qwixx, you first roll some dice and, depending on
what you rolled, put a number in a box on the score sheet. Using which box to
put the number relies on your wisdom.
Additional
score sheets are available from Pandasaurus. It is also widely available on
internet. But you need a colour printer to print them out.
