Go Low
Go
Low is developed by a small game publisher, University Games. After purchasing
the Mattel value pack of 8 card games, as well as a pack of Skip-Bo, I started
searching for card games not produced by those big bosses. Then I found it on
Amazon.
Like
Lowdown, Go Low belongs to the golf family. And it is a much simplified version
of Lowdown. Design is very simple. Although cards come in different colours,
just like Skip-Bo, they all belong to one single suit. And there is no wild
cards or face cards, only number cards. It is a fast game and easy to learn,
very suitable for small kids.
The
box is exactly the same size as that of the UNO. It nicely fits alongside with
other Mattel card games. But with a total of 75 cards in the deck, an UNO size
box is a bit too big for it. In Lowdown, Mattel put a cardboard in between to make
the deck less loose. In Go Low, there is no such cardboard. Because the deck is
not thick enough, the box can easily get wrinkles. And from the matching colour
they use on the card background, you can find that this publisher has less
experience in game publishing. But apart from these, it is a good game. Price
is also cheap. I highly recommend it.
